I bought this quite a while ago as I was eager to try Zotter’s white chocolate. Many of the classier and more high-brow companies don’t offer white chocolate at all and it’s often sneered at in artisan chocolate circles for not actually technically being chocolate as it doesn’t contain any cocoa solids. But Zotter produce this White Chocolate Walnut Brittle, which is good for two reasons; 1) I can try their attempts at a white chocolate and 2) nut brittle is a bit of a personal favourite of mine.

I haven’t reviewed a U.S import bar for quite some time, so I swung by at CyberCandy last time I was in London to pick up something exciting. On top of a few gifts for others (my little brother is hooked on energy drinks at the moment and loves their section of ‘heart attack in a can’ caffeine drinks!) I found myself being up sold to. Now, that’s pretty rare. Because I’ve worked in sales before, I’m normally very alert to being sold stuff that I didn’t intend to buy originally. However after a brief interchange with the two ladies in the Covent Garden based shop and I was leaving with a new chocolate bar. Namely Hershey’s Take 5 bar.
Heavenly Cakes are a company based in Hertfordshire, England. They offer a huge, varied selection of cakes and tray bakes, which can be bought by the whole tray, or individually wrapped. I first saw them on the blog ‘Jim’s Chocolate Mission’ and was delighted when Nigel and Maeve sent across some samples for me to review. I’l be reviewing a different product from them every day this week…and first up, we have the Marathon Flapjack.
Jaffa Cakes have seemingly been around forever. They are without doubt a legendary British snack; enjoyed by most people at one point in their life or another. Ask your average person about a Jaffa Cake and I’l guarantee you two things- 1) they’ll know exactly what they are, and 2) they will have eaten them too. I’d go as far as to say that they’re entrenched in British eating.
