I’ve been sat on these pretzels for a while. Not literally of course. I was kindly sent them by some PR people a long, long time ago (but not in a galaxy far, far away) and then didn’t review them for ages. Why? Well, as I’ve spoken about before, I don’t have a single place where I keep all of my snacks to review…meaning, occasionally, things can get ‘misplaced’. Then I found them, and thought I’d launch a new format- The Snack Review’s Savoury Saturday! Yep, these pretzels from Penn State were once lost, but now they’re found. And going in my belly.

A few weeks ago, Cadbury announced that they were releasing their first new ‘single’ chocolate bar for more than a decade. By ‘single’ of course, I mean that whilst they have released many a new large sharing bar (for instance they have recently released new 100g bars in Oreo, Toffee Popcorn, Shortcake and Toffee Nut) their permanent range of 40-60g chocolate bars has remained unchanged. Until now.
I wasn’t actually intending on reviewing the Kinder Country bar today. Instead, I was wondering around attempting to find a regular Kinder Egg- the semi legendary Egg is normally everywhere in the UK, but I went into half a dozen shops and only found one selling them…and they were all smashed in. Sad face. Fortunately, just as I was beginning to contemplate giving up and buying something boring to review, a corner shop turned up this beauty. The Kinder Country.
