Frey Chocobloc Air

045I’ve done plenty of reviews of new companies recently on here, including my first forays into reviewing crisps, but today it’s back to a tried and trusted company of mine- Frey. The Swiss chocolate makers have churned out a succession of great bars of chocolate, some of which I’ve rated incredibly highly. This is my penultimate review of the chocolates they sent me last year, and it’s from their Chocobloc range- the Chocobloc Air.

Frey Chocobloc White:

You’re probably starting to know the drill now regarding Frey’s Chocobloc range. It is a series of flavoured bars similar to the Toblerone, and after the Dark, Milk and Orange varieties, I’ve got their white chocolate version to review today on day 4 of Frey Week. I can’t believe tomorrow is the last day of Frey Week by the way…I guess time flies when you’re eating chocolate.

Frey Chocobloc Orange

I said last week that this week would be ‘Frey Week’, and here we are! A week of daily Frey reviews, including a variety of flavours, textures and sizes. First up, we’ve got the Chocobloc Orange; a sister product of the Chocobloc Dark reviewed on here last week.  It’s exactly the same concept, but made with milk chocolate and orange instead of plain old dark chocolate.

Frey Chocobloc Dark:

Another one of the fascinating bars which I was fortunate to receive from Swiss chocolate company Frey- the Frey Chocobloc Dark- is a dark chocolate cousin of (and a significantly smaller version of!) the Chocobloc Milk that I took a look at not so long ago. You’ll remember it- it was the behemoth which put a couple of inches on my biceps just carrying it around. Whilst the flavour concept is the same here with the Chocobloc Dark, this weighed in at a much more normal 100g.

Zotter Banana Forever

It’s time for some more Zotter. They’re famed for being wacky, bonkers and a little bit crazy with their flavour combinations (I’m still a little in shock about the Bacon Bits bar I ate from them last month…) but when ordering my next bar, I plumped for a much more conventional bar, in the shape of Zotter’s Banana Forever. If you’re expecting another weird surprise here, you’ll be waiting a long time, because this is a banana flavoured bar, with a bit of honey. No meat, no cheese, no grapes. (Zotter products have contained all of those things rather amazingly.)

Frey Chocobloc Milk

Long term readers might recollect me mentioning that a Swiss chocolate company called Frey generously sent me a giant care package of their chocolate range last month. Well there were a variety of intriguing and delicate flavour combinations buried in the box, but something stood out visually. There is a plethora of 100g and 50g bars in the chocolate market…they are the standard sizes. So Frey have decided to mix things up a little, and throw in a 400g behemoth- their giant Chocobloc Milk.
